We are interested in working in collaborative ways both with each other and others in attempts to create an art culture based on sharing rather than the market.

Bonnie Fortune is the co-founder of two Chicago-based groups, Free Walking and In the Weather, focusing on the exploration of place, and investigation of wild space. She has contributed to Mess Hall's culture as an organizer since its inception.

Brett Bloom works with the group Temporary Services and is a co-founder of an experimental cultural center in Chicago called Mess Hall. Mess Hall functions on a "generosity economy." He has co-edited 5 books; the latest book, with Temporary Services, Group Work examines the reasons why people choose to make art and music in groups.
